    Terms of Service

    Last updated: August 20, 2026

    Acceptance of terms

By accessing stackfinder.com or engaging Stack Finder for any service, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the site or our services.

    What Stack Finder provides

    Stack Finder offers:

    • Consultancy and fixed-cost micro-services for revenue and data teams
    • 1:1 Deep Dive engagements (annual commitment)
    • Stack Finder Academy—paid AI training courses and certifications
    • Free interactive tools (AI Readiness Assessment, Hidden Tax Audit, Stack Builder, Connect Your Data)
    • A public software directory and tool comparison content

    Accounts

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your credentials secure. Each account is for a single person; do not share login access.

    Paid engagements & billing

Paid services and Academy purchases are billed through Stripe. Pricing and scope for each service are defined on the relevant page or in a written engagement letter. Deep Dive plans are sold on an annual commitment basis. Refund eligibility and timelines are described on the service page or in your engagement letter; reach out via support for any billing questions.

    Client tooling & data ownership

Every third-party tool used in a client engagement (CRM, warehouse, outbound platform, AI vendor, etc.) is purchased and owned directly by the client on the client's accounts. Client data remains in the client's systems at all times. Stack Finder operates inside those tools as a guest user with permissions granted, and revocable, by the client. We do not export, copy, or persist client production data into Stack Finder–owned systems.

    Confidentiality & NDAs

Mutual confidentiality applies to every engagement under our standard engagement terms. Some clients require us to sign a client-issued NDA before discovery—we accommodate that on request. Other clients prefer to operate solely under our standard mutual confidentiality terms. Either path is acceptable.

    Acceptable use

    You agree not to:

    • Scrape, mirror, or systematically extract content or directory data from the site
    • Reverse engineer or attempt to derive source code from our tools or AI features
    • Abuse free interactive tools, AI endpoints, or rate-limited APIs
    • Upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful content, or impersonate another person
    • Probe, scan, or attempt to breach security controls

    Intellectual property

The Stack Finder name, brand, site content, frameworks, methodologies, Academy curriculum, and assessment logic are owned by Stack Finder. You receive a limited, non-transferable license to use the site and any purchased materials for your own internal business or learning purposes. Deliverables produced specifically for a client during an engagement are licensed to that client per the engagement letter.

    Third-party services & links

Our directory, comparison pages, and recommendations describe third-party tools we do not control. Pricing, features, and availability change frequently—always confirm details on the vendor's own site before purchasing. Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience and do not imply endorsement or partnership unless explicitly stated.

The vendors we use to operate this site (hosting, database, payments, email, analytics, and business-visitor identification) are listed in the subprocessor table in our Privacy Policy, which is the authoritative list.

    AI output disclaimer

Outputs from our chat widget, AI Readiness Assessment, and other AI features are generated by large language models and provided for informational purposes only. They are not legal, financial, tax, or professional advice. Verify any material recommendation with a qualified advisor and your own data before acting on it.

    Warranties & limitation of liability

The site and free tools are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stack Finder's total liability arising out of or relating to the site or any free tools is limited to USD $100. Liability for paid engagements is governed by the applicable engagement letter.

    Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Stack Finder harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the site, violation of these Terms, or violation of any third-party rights.

    Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the site or your account if you violate these Terms or create risk for us or other users. You may stop using the site at any time and request account deletion via support.

    Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles. Exclusive venue for any dispute lies in the state and federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

    Changes & contact

We may update these Terms from time to time and will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be highlighted on the site. Questions? Reach us via support.
